UPDATE: Capital School District Superintendent Toriano Giddens says official operations will resume at Dover High School on Thursday following a bomb threat made the day prior.

Dover High School will reopen tomorrow with normal instructional hours. Students will be able to retrieve belongings left behind, and staff will be available to support anyone “feeling unsettled”.

“Throughout today’s response, our school community was protected by Delaware and Dover’s finest,” Superintendent Giddens added.”We are deeply grateful for their professionalism, care, and commitment to our students and staff, and for the partnerships that make this coordinated response possible. We also extend our thanks to the helicopter pilot who was present during the evacuation, a Dover High School graduate, who helped protect our school community.”
